The CAFIDE Jala Black Collar is made from Lignify® vegan leather — a certified biobased material produced from lignin, the structural compound extracted from wood during paper manufacturing. The paper industry generates over 100 million tonnes of lignin waste annually; Lignify® converts that waste stream into a durable, leather-like material without petroleum-based polymers or animal products. The result carries USDA Certified Biobased Product status, OEKO-TEX® certification for absence of harmful substances, and PETA Approved Vegan status — a complete, independently audited certification stack.

The zamak buckle and rings — a zinc, aluminium, magnesium, and copper alloy exceeding the tensile strength of steel — provide secure, durable fastening that holds through years of daily use and weather exposure. Five sizes from XXS through L cover the full range from the smallest toy breeds to larger dogs, with precise neck circumference ranges for accurate fit.

Why We Selected It

The Black colourway serves a specific customer within the Jala range — the owner who wants the Lignify® material story and the zamak hardware quality without a colourway decision. Black is the neutral that requires no coordination with leash, harness, or walking accessories. It also pairs cleanly with the Jala Black or any other colourway leash for owners mixing across the range. The material and certification stack are identical to the Beige and Brown variants — the choice is purely about colourway preference.

Size Guide

Measure your dog's neck circumference at the point where the collar would sit and add 2–3 cm for comfort. One to two fingers should sit comfortably between the collar and the neck once fitted.
