SPLOOT Puppy Grooming Program

🎯 Goal

To help puppies (8 weeks – 9 months) build confidence and comfort with grooming, while educating owners on coat care, maintenance, and setting healthy habits early.

Book your puppy’s first session online. The following two sessions will be scheduled directly in the salon to suit your puppy’s progress and your availability.

Program Structure (3-Step Introduction)

Step 1: Puppy Introduction Visit (8–14 weeks)

Duration: 20–30 minutes

Focus: Socialization & positive associations

Services:

• Gentle brush & comb-out
• Face, paw, and ear handling
• Nail touch (clipper/scissor introduction, no pressure)
• Warm towel wipe or quick gentle rinse (if needed)
• Positive reinforcement with treats & calm handling
  

💡 Goal: Puppy gets used to salon smells, sounds, tools, and handling.

Step 2: Puppy Mini Groom (14–18 weeks)

Duration: 60-75 minutes

Services:

• Bath with mild puppy shampoo (Iv San Bernard puppy-safe)
• Blow-dry with a low, quiet dryer
• Gentle brush & detangling
• Nail trim & paw pad tidy
• Hygiene trim (sanitary area, eye corners, paw pads)
  

💡 Goal: Puppy experiences a full grooming routine in a shorter, positive session.

Step 3: First Full Puppy Groom (18–35 weeks)

Duration: 1.5–2 hours

Services:

• Bath & blow-dry
• Full body brushing & detangling
• Face, paw, and sanitary trim
• Introduction to clippers/scissors for body shaping (gentle, short session)
• Nail trimming & ear cleaning
• Owner education: Recommend grooming schedule (every 4–6 weeks, depending on coat type), at-home brushing frequency, and professional coat care advice

💡 Goal: Puppy completes their first full grooming session with confidence.
