How Long Does the Protection Last?

The protective effect of our natural flea treatment typically lasts up to 14 days. For optimal results, we recommend bathing your dog every two weeks using the Iv San Bernard protective shampoo and conditioner.

If your dog spends time in high-risk outdoor areas (such as forests, parks, or tall grasses), a weekly wash may be necessary to maintain full protection.

📏 Note: For the treatment to be effective, your dog’s coat should be at least 3–4 cm long. Dogs with very short or shaved coats may not receive the full benefit of the protective barrier.

How to Wash Your Dog with Protective Conditioner Plus?

• Wash with Protective Shield Shampoo 
• Use approximately 50 grams of conditioner. You may apply it undiluted or dilute it 1:1 with about 0.5 dl of warm water. Shake well to mix.
• Work it through the coat and skin for around 5 minutes to hydrate, soothe, and restore softness.
• Rinse well to complete the treatment.

Tip: Make Your Own Natural Flea & Tick Spray for Walks

Protect your dog—and yourself—on walks with this simple DIY spray. Mix 20 grams of Protective Shield Conditioner with 180 grams of boiling water and whisk thoroughly. Once cooled, pour the mixture into a spray bottle.

Before heading out, lightly spray your dog’s coat, as well as your own arms and pant legs. This natural blend helps repel fleas, ticks, and other pests, making outdoor adventures more enjoyable and bite-free.
