How Long Does the Protection Last?

The protective effect of our natural flea treatment typically lasts up to 14 days. For optimal results, we recommend bathing your dog every two weeks using the Iv San Bernard protective shampoo and conditioner.

If your dog spends time in high-risk outdoor areas (such as forests, parks, or tall grasses), a weekly wash may be necessary to maintain full protection.

📏 Note: For the treatment to be effective, your dog’s coat should be at least 3–4 cm long. Dogs with very short or shaved coats may not receive the full benefit of the protective barrier.

How to Wash Your Dog with Protective Shield Shampoo SLS-free?

• Use approximately 50 grams of shampoo. You may apply it undiluted or dilute it 1:1 with about 0.5 dl of warm water. Shake well to mix.
• Thoroughly wet your dog’s coat with warm water.
• Apply a small amount of shampoo at a time, working section by section until the entire body is covered. Focus on massaging the shampoo into the skin — the fur will cleanse naturally.
• Begin with the belly area to help relax your dog, then move to the legs, chest, head, back, sides, and finally the tail base.
• Massage and lather for around 5 minutes, ensuring deep penetration.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water until no product remains.
• Apply Protective Conditioner Plus

Important!

The best defense against parasites is healthy skin and coat, properly washed using products with the correct pH balance.

A well-maintained coat does not emit the heat signature that parasites, such as fleas and ticks, rely on to locate your dog.
